Hello, neighbors! Believe it or not, spring is coming, and it’s time to beautify the landscaping at the west entrance to our neighborhood! We did this last year, and it was a fun way for those of us who like playing in the dirt to get to know one another better, while helping to make our community even more welcoming.
We are planning a work day for Saturday, May 11, starting around 10:00 a.m. Last year, with a group of about 10-12 helpers, we got everything done in just over a couple hours, and it should go even faster this year. Please let us know if you can lend a hand. Everyone is welcome! We’d love to meet some of the newer neighbors, too, so feel free to stop by and say hi. 🙂
Here’s what we’ll do:
- Cut back long grasses
- Pull any weeds
- Spread weed preventative
- Spread new bark
- Plant some flowers!
Please bring your own gloves, hand shovels, large shovels, rakes, pitchforks, and anything else that might be useful for cleanup. We will bring coffee, treats, and a hedge trimmer for cutting the long grasses. Hope to see you there! 🙂
I can help with the spring fling planting.
