Hello, neighbors! As Steve mentioned, I’m organizing a group of people who would like to help with gardening and maintaining the landscape beds at the west entrance to the neighborhood. I thought this would be a fun way for those of us who like playing in the dirt to get to know one another better, while helping to make our community even more beautiful.
At this point, I’m thinking it would involve a couple of spring cleanup/planting times, periodic weeding/maintenance throughout the summer as needed, and one shorter fall cleanup. Those who are interested can come to one, some, or all of these.
Some tasks we can handle:
-
Spray/pull weeds that have already popped up
-
Spread weed preventative
-
Trim the bushes
-
Spread new bark
-
Plant some flowers
-
Consider replacing arborvitae on west side
Once the gardening committee is formed, we can talk about other items to address.
If you’re interested, please let me know by commenting below, and I will get in touch with everyone to set a date for our first work day. Everyone is welcome, kids too! Thanks to Rachel Minier, Steve Prince, John and Kristen Ossim, Angelo Marasco (and anyone else I’m forgetting!) for already expressing interest.
Thanks for considering!
I would love to help!
That’s wonderful, thanks so much, Sarah! 😊 I’ll be in touch with everyone soon about possible dates.
The front entrance looks fantastic! Thanks to everyone who helped!
The trimmed trees look really nice!
