Below is a copy of the 2025 Reminders memo, along with the contents of that memo.
Lakeshore Woods has a set of Restrictive Covenants (RCs) that govern many aspects of ownership of our properties, all of which are aimed at recognizing “… that it is essential to the value of the Lots that the Development be maintained in a manner consistent with high environmental, aesthetic, and residential standards.”
Lot Modifications and Architectural Committee Approval
The LWOA has an active Architectural Committee whose goal is to ensure compliance with the RCs in the areas of lot modifications, setbacks, construction materials, appearance, etc. The approval process can take up to 30 days after all required documentation is received, so please plan accordingly and allow enough time for review. If approval is not obtained, it can result in fine or other actions.
- Submit request to any member of the Board or the Architectural Committee.
- Refer to the website for more information on what requires approval.
Boats, RVs, Trailers, etc.
The parking of a trailer, boat, motor home, other recreational vehicle, or non-operational vehicles not parked in a garage is allowed for no more than 14 days per calendar year (RC Section 7).
Yard Waste
Please do not dump grass clippings, branches, or other yard waste onto greenspaces or common areas in the subdivision. Republic offers a yard waste removal service for a fee.
Grass Clippings
Be cognizant of your lawn’s grass clippings that end up in the street. Please blow them back onto your lawn or bag them and dispose of them per the yard waste guidelines to keep up the aesthetic of the neighborhood. These clippings can be a safety issue, especially for bicycles and motorcycles.
Trash/Recycle/Yard Waste Cans
Trash, garbage, or other waste containers should be kept inside your garage or otherwise out of sight from the street (RC Section 7).
Dogs
Remember that all dogs should be on a leash when not on your property. Pick up after your dog whenever and wherever they do their business and dispose of the waste properly.
Fires and Fire Safety
The burning of stumps, cleared trees, or brush (RC Section 6), along with leaves (RC Section 7) is prohibited. When having a fire, consider the following:
- Use a burn container or pit in an open area.
- Burn only dry wood and not green or wet wood to avoid excess smoke.
- Be considerate of neighbors, noting smoke and wind direction.
- Never leave the fire unattended.
- Put out the fire when done with your gathering. Don’t let it smolder.
Sincerely,
The Lakeshore Woods Association Board
