Hello Lakeshore Woods Owners.
REMINDER: LWOA dues of $53.00 per lot as well as the fees for the 2024 Republic trash service are due by Friday, December 1st to ensure service without interruption. Please see below additional instructions:
- Make your check payable to “Lakeshore Woods Owners Association” or “LWOA”, and write your lot number on the check.
- Either mail to Treasurer Kristen Ossim, 17232 Legacy Drive, so it arrives no later than Dec 1st, or hand deliver to Secretary/Recorder Marie Gardner, 17144 Legacy Dr.
Walking Path Ballot: The recent Walking Path ballots were received and counted by the Board members with the following results:
- Official Vote Count:
- Option 1: Repeal Section 14.6 single walking path in its entirety and record the amendment with the county – 69 votes (exceeds the 2/3 vote needed)
- Option 2: Keep Section 14.6 as is regarding the single walking path and comply with it – 6 votes
- Background: The Restrictive Covenant (RC) section 14.6 pertains to the requirement of establishing and maintaining a Walking Path in a certain section of the neighborhood. According to our by-laws, in order to make any changes to the “Plat” (which would include the Walking Path section), there has to be an affirmative vote of 2/3 (two-thirds or 56 lot owners) of the 83 lot owners. After not having enough lot owners in attendance at the annual meeting, the decision on what to do regarding the walking path was put to an official ballot, which was mailed to the lot owners by 10/15/2023 with a due date of 11/15/2023.
As always, should you have any questions regarding the LWOA, please feel free to reach out to any of us.
